Sometimes having seizures in front of others can be embarrassing, especially when people don’t know you have seizures.

One way to avoid the embarrassment is to let your friends know that you have seizures. It’s okay to feel nervous about telling your friends, but know that in the end they like you for who you are, whether you have seizures or not.

Let them know what you would like them to do if you have a seizure in front of them (like call an ambulance, get an adult, make sure nothing is around you that could hurt you during the seizure, or turn you on your side).
