Some sibs feel angry. It might seem that things are a lot different at home now. Maybe your parents have less time for you because they need to take your sibling to doctors’ appointments or physical therapy. Maybe, your sibling seems different and you haven’t learned to get along with this different acting person yet. Or maybe, your parents expect you to help out a lot more and don’t expect your sibling to do much.

These things could leave you feeling really angry. It’s important to let your parents know how you are feeling before you fly off the handle. Make a point to tell them how you are feeling using “I statements”.
“I feel (angry for example), when you ______________. “
This will open up a conversation. You may feel better just having the chance to talk about it or maybe you and your parents can problem solve some solutions.
