Accommodations need to be habits across classes (take all tests in a quiet place, get extended time, etc.)
Teen shows investment/effort by checking assignments, learning to use planner, getting extra help before or after class.
Have parents and a point person at the school (e.g., counselor, school psychologist) make sure all teachers are informed. The student should not have to educate teachers or be stuck trying to explain why he needs specific accommodations.
